The much-awaited film, Dangal, where Aamir is playing the role of failed athlete Mahavir Phogat who made his two daughters- Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat- champion in Kushti, is taken a hand on hand by his fans.
The film nicely showcased the problem of Khap-ridden state of Haryana and how girls are considered curse in the family. Aamir’s acting in the film as an authoritarian father will fetch the attraction in the film. His eyes and facial expression itself bring the essence, how tough the life girls is in the state of Haryana.
Though Amir, in the role of Mahavir Phogat, acts like a tough father who wanted a baby boy to make him an athlete, at the same time he showed love and affection towards his four daughters and wife. Amir is known as Mr. Perfectionist among his fans, he once again showed the new benchmark of acting in the film.
Zaira Wasim in the role of athlete Geeta Phogat and Suhani Bhatnagar in Babita Phogat did a competent job. They didi months of practice to fit in the role and their level of fitness for the role of athlete mark its presence.Shakshi Tawar role as Mahavir’s wife was good.
The Film sometimes turned slow and it was felt that 15 minutes of the movie could have been erased to hold the interest of the audience till the end. However, Haryanvi touch and Kushti daw-pech along with the determination a father for making his daughters a successful athlete do not let down the audience.
Overall, Dangal is a value for money film. We recommend you to watch it as it will bring positive vibration for our daughters. Our rating for the film is three out of five stars.
