In Delhi, The Supreme Court on Friday decided that RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin has to go back in jail and canceled his bail with immediate effect. It is directed Shahabuddin to surrenders before Jail Authorities and Bihar government to take necessary steps to take him into custody.
Back in Patna, High Court struck down the ban imposed by the Nitish Kumar on the sale of liquor in April. High court termed liquor ban illegal. Liquor prohibition has been a major poll promise of Nitish Kumar government, especially in 2015 and 2016 during the Assembly election season.

When Nitish first placed the liquor ban as a poll agenda in the run up to the Bihar election, speculations abound How is possible? How Nitish Kumar manage to fill the huge gap created due to lack of liquor revenue? the illegal replacement in the form of illicit liquor flooded in the market. But Nitish manages to tide over all the hardships and doubts and prohibited successfully.

RJD leader Mohamad Shahabuddin, in her short time release from the jail, made Nitish Kumar Government uneasy many time with his controversial comments. He dares Nitish saying that he is a chief Minister of Situation. He doesn’t deserve to be at this place. Speculation was around if this tie-up could last for long in Bihar or the state will face another election within a year of forming a coalition government. Both RJD and JDU called it a Maha Gathbandhan.
