New Delhi: Women may not find themselves safe in the National capital, but when it comes to making a safe physical relation with their partner, it is the best place for them. Recent data released by the Delhi Government on Thursday at least suggest this interesting fact. The Delhi Government says the stats show Delhi is heading towards development.
According to the 2016 Statistic of Delhi Government, women have become much more concern for safe sex this year. To avoid pregnancy, they now prefer to use condoms in relation to contraceptive pills, which are considered to be hazardous for their health.
Cases of sterilization in Men increased throughout the year. On the other hand number of case of women, sterilization has drastically reduced.
Experts say this new dynamic has emerged due to the change in the culture of this metropolitan city. Women have become much less hesitant to buy the condom in the open market than ever before. At the same time, they are now well aware with the side-effect of the pills.
The report says while in the financial year 2012-13, the consumption of contraceptive pills was above 21 Lakh tablet throughout the year, it has reduced to 18.5 Lakh in 2015-16. The use of Condom in the year 2012-13 was 5,373. It takes a dip in 2014-15 to 3,990 and finally bounced up to 5,709 in the last financial year.
Stats further suggest that sterilization cases in women in the year 2012-13 were 17,780. It stands at 16,647 in the year 2013-14 and finally dips down to 16,482 in the last financial year. Trends in Men sterilization is also very shocking. Data suggests that 901 cases on men’s sterilizations were reported in 2015-16, it was 811 in the previous financial year.
More interestingly, While the population of Delhi stands at 1.75 crores, the total number of mobile users in the city 4.79 crores.
Capital has the total of 48,131 health institute. It also has 225 maternity and child care center and 164 homeopathy dispensary.
