Hoax bomb call at New Delhi Railway Station put security agencies into a tizzy situation

New Delhi:  After a hoax bomb call, extensive train searches carried out by Police and security personnel in the wee hours at new Delhi railway station on Monday afternoon.

DCP (Railways) Parwaiz Ahamad said the call was received by the police control room (PCR) at 3.10 am after which all the arriving trains were checked. “The caller did not give name of the train and on which platform it was reaching, so all the arriving trains were extensively checked but nothing was found”. Police said the searches were made till 9.30 am when mosttrains reach the New Delhi station. Further investigation is underway, said a police officer.PTI VIT

According to Police searches operation lasted till 9.30 am when most trains reach the New Delhi station. Further investigation is underway. This is not the first time when hoax call of the bomb is reported at the railway station. Police have run search operation on the earlier occasion as well after receiving bomb call.

However, current call of bomb received late in the night when the railway station witnesses thin presence of people. Police and other security agencies didn’t find it difficult run an operation.
