Mother turns monster amid spat with husband, throws child from the stairs

New Delhi: A family spat between husband and wife took an ugly when a furious mother of a two-year baby allegedly thrown her child from the stairs in Pulprahladpur area of South-west district turn on last Monday. Police smell foul in the case as the footage of the incident shown on the media channels stated that the incident took place on 11th of January. However, her husband alleged that this incident happened on January 21 and right after the incident he made the PCR call.

Police have registered the case under relevant section of the IPC. However, Arrest is not made as yet following the doubt raid on the truthfulness of the CCTV footage. DCP South-West Romil Baniya said: “We reached the home to attend the call of a quarrel between Husband and wife on January 21, when the father of the baby alleged that his wife has thrown our baby from the stairs in the fit of rage. Husband’s statement needs to be verified with the other fact available before us,”.

On the basis of the complaint, police said, medical examination of the two-year-old child Anshul Gupta was done in the AIIMS hospital. Some wounds on the back side of the child are found. There are many issues that need to be cross-checked before making the formal arrest in the case.

According to Police, Aman Gupta tied the knot with Sonu Gupta few year ago. From the marriage, they have a two years old son Anshul. Since the marriage, the relation between the couple is not fruitful. They used to indulge in a brawl with each other on trivial issues. The Husband alleged that his wife has done the same atrocity on the son earlier as well. She uses to get annoyed and pick up the fight with him without any reason. Sharp reactions have been coming since the video came in the social media.
