New Delhi: Online registration for Delhi Technical University’s (DTU) much awaited East Delhi Campus has started from Sunday evening in three courses -BA Honours in Economics and BBA and MBA. The very first session will be conducted from Shahid Sukhdev College of Business Studies situated in Vivek Vihar.
DTU said registration process will continue till 24 July. This year 120 seats each will be available for BA Honours in Economics and Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). Whereas 60 seats will be available for Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Vice Chancellor Dr Yogesh Singh said DTU is providing 300 seats in total this year which will be made two fold next year. We are planning to provide 600 seats for the next session 2018-19.
Earlier, Delhi Government was planning to build infrastructure for DTU East Delhi campus at Khichdipur area but it later dropped the plan and Shahid Sukhdev College of Business Study was chosen for it. Collge has officially handed over building to the DTU. Tenders have been floated for the renovation of the Building for which work will be started from 15th of July.
First Semester will be made operational in the old block as renovation work here finishes by the end of July. Major changes are required in the other blocks, which take six month time to finish. All the blocks will be equipped with ultra model technology.
For BBA and Economic Honours
Students are required to apply only at the official website DTU admissions.nic.in till 24 July. 50 percent marks are required in the qualifying examination. First cut off will be released on 31st July for BBA and MBA course. Document verification work for Economics Honours course will be done on 2ed and 3ed of August and for BBA, it will be done on 8th and 9th of August.Second and Third cut off list will come on 10th and 17th of August. 65 thousand will be charged for both the courses.
For MBA Course
MBA course will be available in six specialisation streams- Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology Management, Knowledge and Technology Management. On 28th of July, Students will be selected on merit basis which will be eligible for an interview that takes place of 2ed and 3ed of August. 70 percent weight age will be given to the marks in Graduation and rest 30 percent for Interview. 1.38 lakh will be the first-year academic session fees.
