New Delhi: If you brand Delhi Police personnel with those who takes a bribe and do not perform their duty efficiently, this news is for you. Two Policeman posted in east Delhi these days are being widely appreciated by the department of their honesty.
Head constable Manmohan and Sanjeev Kumar attached with Gandhi Nagar Police station found an abandoned bag with having 12 Lakh rupees in it. They honestly lodged this amount in Malkhana of the police station.
Impressed with the honest behavior of the police officers, sources said, DCP North East Delhi has recommended their name to Police Headquarter for reward.
Both the sleuth, police said, were on patrolling duty on a Thursday morning. Manmohan was riding the bike while Sanjeev was sitting pillion. They reached pushta after conducting patrolling on the Mahavir Swami park side.
“Near Transport office in pandit vali gali policemen noticed an unattended bag. Seeing policeman approaching their, a boy run towards the bag. however, he could not reach it before the policemen and finally run away from the spot.” a police officer said.
They found few bundle of pink color notes in Rs 2000 denomination when zip of the bag was opened. Majoring the sensitivity of the matter, these honest policemen immediately rushed to the police station with the bag, without wasting time,

According to police, it is not yet be ascertained about the ownership of the bag. No one has claimed this money so far. CCTV cameras of the area are been scanned to locate the owner.
